Sonance By Pentagram

Sonance exhibit that showcases the company’s identity and product line.

This large-scale trade show exhibit was designed for Sonance, a high–end architectural audio company that specializes in flush–mount wall and ceiling speakers. The exhibit showcases the company’s new product line and identity, both of which Pentagram also designed.

The fifty–by–eighty–foot exhibit is an architectural interpretation of Sonance’s mark, squares of expanding size suggesting an increasing volume of sound. The four large exhibit cubes, bathed in glowing light, mirror the mark by also expanding in size. The cubes are arranged linearly and skewed on plan for maximum visual effect when viewed from each of the four corners of the exhibit and from neighboring booths.

The exhibit is scaleable so that it can be reconfigured for smaller venues.

The exhibit reconfigures the Sonance identity three–dimensionally as abstract rooms to provide wall, ceiling and graphic display surfaces for the company’s interior speaker systems. Outdoor speakers are displayed around the perimeter of the exhibit. The white walls and iconic modern furniture that furnish the rooms reflect the clean, contemporary design of the product. The bamboo floors are footprints of the cubes above.

The marketing function of the rooms is aided by a large round information counter on the corner of the exhibit’s primary and secondary aisles, as well as a number of freestanding interactive displays and two open conference and hospitality areas.

The booth was originally designed for the CEDIA Expo, but is scaleable so it can be reconfigured to fit smaller venues.
